A break in the weather, Brecon Beacons.

A chance day, we left London at 4.30am to drive to South Wales to climb Pen Y Fan. The weather forcast was for snow. A drive down the M4 in fog, cleared as we crossed Severn bridge. Onto Brecon and it began to snow, a quick cup of tea then off to park in some backroad that ended in a field. By this time the snow became heavier with showers becoming longer.Onto the ridge, past Tommy Jones memorial onto Corn Du, now it was a blizzard! It cleared as we made the summit of Pen Y Fan, the combination of light, spindrift made for a magical scene. This is just one of a series of a spectacular day.
