This pair of Lionesses taking shelter from the heat, were guarding a carcass of an elephant that had been poached(the tusks were removed that may have been done by park officials before the poachers came back to the scene)They were part of a larger pride intent on feeding of this carcass for some time.There are prides of lion especially in Botswana that take Elephants regularly.
