The Gherkin

The Gherkin is one of London's newer landmarks and one weekend a couple of years ago when they had an "Open London weekend" Ron and I went with our list of buildings to view, the Gherkin being head of the list. After queuing for five and a half hours, going twice round the base of the building, we finally took the lift to the top. The day had deteriorated from the sun of the morning so the photos we took were a little gloomy but it was a great experience. Needless to say we didn't visit any of the other buildings on our list!
