Calving Glacier and Kittywakes
We travelled to Hornsund and took a zodiac excersion to the Paierlbreen glacier. A truly magnificent sight, blue ice and towering above us. Plenty of groans then suddenly it calved, a huge piece of ice fell into the lagoon. Thousands of Kittywake were enjoying the freshwater melt and they all took off at once !! Spectacular.
